O God, Make Us a Light is a new two-part anthem for female, male or mixed voices.  Asking God to illuminate our hearts is how this anthem serves as a prayer.  It is sometimes called the Prophet’s prayer because it asks for light both within us and around us in all directions so that we may better be an example of Christ.

While this piece was conceived for that smaller parish choir with limited vocal resources, it can just as easily be sung with a large choir without a lot of prep time.  It is a good piece to have in the choir’s repertoire when a last minute change is needed.
