With great joy, we praise the King of heaven whose mercy fends off evil ways and allows our entry into that eternal realm, into the New Jerusalem, through His unfathomable grace.  It is with that same great joy that I dedicate these Meditations on Lauda anima to my recently departed friend, April Rose Prather.  She brought joy and light to all who knew her.

Yet well beyond my personal motivation for this work, I bring this humble arrangement of the tune most often associated with “Praise, my soul, the King of heaven” to those who might find it a suitable part of their Divine worship. Soli Deo Gloria.
